ACCOUNTING

Accounting and financial management is a pivotal function within any company, whether it is a national organisation or a small company.  It ensures the viability of the company is maintained by controlling cash flow, keeping outstanding debts to a minimum and stocks of materials at optimum levels.

Maintaining the financial stability of the company requires attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining records, preparation of invoices and dealing with both customers and suppliers.

In an Accounting role you will be involved in recording and accounting for cash and credit transactions, the preparation of financial accounts, using information technology and managing business relationships.

By completing an Apprenticeship in Accounting you will gain knowledge of accounting procedures and the skills to put these into use.

You will train on the job and be assessed in the workplace and on a portfolio of work.  Throughout your Apprenticeship you will receive help and support from your Charter Assessor.

What Qualifications Will I Achieve?

The Apprenticeship Framework comprises:

NVQ Level 2 in Accounting (Apprenticeship)
NVQ Level 3 in Accounting (Advanced Apprenticeship)
